Opportunity: My client is a leading International consultancy firm who are requiring this expert as soon as possible. The successful individual shall be leading the project and playing a key role in its successful delivery. Responsibilities on the project: • Overall controlling, monitoring and implementation of the project. He will exercise supervisory control over all Dy. Team Leaders and will issue necessary instructions for efficient and economized execution of all works under his charge. • Coordinate Consultant's Inputs during Preliminary and Definitive/Detailed Design and Drawings • Approval to Definitive/Detailed Design and Drawings • Carry out all the duties of the Dy. Team Leader of the Package • Approval to DB Contractor's Work Programme • Handover of the site to the DB Contractor • Checking and verification of the Contractor's Bond, Guarantees and Insurance Policies • Review and Approval of the Contractor's Site Installations • Monitoring Supervision of Works/Inspection of Works by Key Experts and Non-Key Experts • Assist the Consultant's Team, The Employer and DB Contractor in interpretation of Contract Clauses • Monitor the Contractor's Progress • Ensure that works comply established Quality Control and Quality Assurance Standards and Procedures • Analyse and oversee analysis and corrective action on various test reports Ensure efficient deployment of team members and also ensure that all team members do not indulge in malpractices, fraud, etc. • Monitor Measurement of works • Participate in Integrated Testing & Commissioning and Trial Run for 100 Kmph speed Monitoring Contractor's Payment Process and Contract Changes and Claims Management • Ensuring compliance of the SHE Manual for complete construction safety • Ensuring that Quality & Safety Audits are conducted as prescribed Inspection the entire project as the Dy. This is an SCM Manager- Local Division-India/Hub-SAMEA reporting to Head of Operations in Process Automation Business Area, based out of Bangalore; India. You will be primarily responsible to set up local division(LD)/ HUB specific Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategies in line with company and SCM council strategy, as well as lead and implement SCM activities and best practices. Your responsibilities • Planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy in line with business strategy and HUB/Division Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy. • Contributing to definition, implementation, and execution of Global Division spend management and sourcing strategies for direct material and services to the Hub / LD. • Defining together with the PMU / SIU Supply Chain teams the priorities of sourcing activities. Determining and monitoring key supply chain KPIs, annual targets and scorecards, together with the SCM Managers, for cost reduction, supplier quality etc. • Developing and implementing cost, productivity, quality, delivery and inventory improvement plans in line with Division and Group SCM strategies. • Leading the New product development, indigenization strategy in coordination with cross function teams to improve availability, increase local content in manufacturing and cost reduction. • Ensuring the execution of supplier audits and monitors audit reports as well as improvement activities based on audit conclusions and recommendations. • Implementing ABB standards on sustainability and business ethics as well as the Supplier Code of Conduct within the LD / Hub Division supply base. Your background • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. • 15 years of overall experience with 7 to 8 years of relevant experience with SCM operations, negotiations, leadership and products. • Business acumen and ability to take strategic view from both business and SCM perspective. • Customer and market focused attitude. • Strong analytical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational skills. • Will have to travel frequently within the region and occasionally outside the region.
